White Christmas anyone?

We got a little snow yesterday morning and even though it didn't last long it was still beautiful. We got my Jeep out and went to Jacks River and the Cohutta Wilderness. My favorite place in the whole world...check out the views...

Little Bella

I could talk/write all day about my little neighbor Bella. Sometimes she comes over after school...and let me tell you...she expects a snack when she walks through that door. She is so precious. I had her on this particular evening and we decided to do some pics for her mom's birthday. She tells me all the time that her name is NOT Bella it's Miss Sassy!!! Her birthday party was last Saturday and she wanted a John Deere cake!! How funny is that!! Such a little country girl. I'm sure I'll be taking her pictures for years to come!

Reliance in Autumn...

So... I took some pictures today of my sister, her friend, Greg, and his children up around the Hiwassee River. What an entertaining afternoon. The leaves were just gorgeous and we really couldn't have had a better day but I think we were all ready for a nap after all that smiling. I love Polk County have said it time after time...there's not a prettier place in this country. I am very fortunate to have grown up in such a beautiful place with such a wonderful sister.

If you've ever been to Reliance...chances are you've stopped at Webb Bros. Texaco

These were taken at the Big Bend area of the river...colors were incredible

Lovin' on Dad

What is more precious than that?

Jaxon (18 days)

I do not think there are words to express the overwhelming feeling of joy and love I had when first meeting this little guy. My heart is so full and I am so thankful that my husband and I got to drive out to Texas and spend a few days getting to know our grandson. I've told everyone that I didn't know I could love so much...and I know that love will only grow stronger over the years. My stepdaughter is glowing and such a good little mother...We are so proud. Nothing in the world can compare to this...sheer joy.

Ashley & Cody's Wedding...August 29, 2009 Fillauer Lake House & Barn

I have lots of favorites to post from Ashley and Cody's wedding last Saturday evening. It was such a beautiful wedding...despite the afternoon thundershowers that threatened to move the wedding indoors. Around 6:40pm the clouds disappeared, the rain stopped and the wedding went on as planned. The reception was incredible...food by Sticky Fingers...music by Jared Elledge. Lots and lots of dancing and celebrating with friends...I don't think I've had that much fun in twenty years. There was joy and whole lot of love for the bride and groom by everyone that attended. I will have to admit that I didn't know Cody & Ashley could dance so good but let me tell you...they never stopped dancing the entire night. It was such a memorable night...one I won't ever forget.

Waiting for his bride to make her appearance!

Their kiss was so awesome...

First dance...

Ashley got a little emotional dancing with her Daddy...I don't think there was a dry eye in that barn! Cody dancing with his Mom

Maid of honor and a bridesmaid enjoying the band!

Two stepping the night away

This was Ashley's time to shine as she joined the band for one of her favorites...Big Green Tractor.

I love the peace sign Ashley is giving as they make their getaway...barefoot and loving it!!!!
