Back Home...

My stepdaughter, her husband and my grandson have just moved back from Texas, which has been bittersweet for all of us. Wanting them home but wanting them happy too (and Texas was what made them happy). I took these pictures at Red Clay Park....two great subjects to work with. Jaxon turned one on Tuesday...time sure does fly.

I just can't say no to that face...

Ayla and Jamie

Ayla and Jamie are our neighbors and she's lived beside us since Gene and I married almost 17 years ago. I have watched her grow up and this was a very emotional wedding for me. I was so honored to get to do these pics. It was a great day and I'm sure that there will be many more happy days for Mr. & Mrs. Cook.

This is the couple with their daughter, Jada

The wedding party
Candice and Craig...Candice did all the bouquets and all the deccorations...she's awesome and made this day extra special for Ayla and Jamie.

Ayla and her Maid of Honor, Brooke
Yep...that's how they left...I loved it! It was a great day and I was so glad I got to be a part of it. I love Ayla, Jamie and Jada so much and wish them the best of luck in everything they do. Love you guys:)

We just got back from a long and hard trip to Texas to visit our daughter and her family. We took a road trip while we were there to San Antonio and had tickets to the George Strait Team Roping Classic...had a blast...here are some favorites from our Texas stay...saw a lot of new country and had a wonderful time...once again Texas was very good for me.

This is Gruene Hall...the oldest dancehall in Texas. George Strait and Lyle Lovett were discovered here and anyone it's still in operation with live music all the time. Very cool place.

King George enjoying the roping...so handsome!

Speed Williams...my favorite header

Speed Williams and Kory Koontz

Speed Williams and Kory Koontz roping

Joe Beaver...8 time all around National Cowboy...he's another of my favorite

Allen Bach...WNFR Champion Roper...he's AWESOME.

Allen...see how he's out of the saddle? That's why he's so awesome...just got a lot of SKILLS!

San Antonio at night from our balcony...so beautiful

The Alamo...couldn't take pics inside and that's where the beauty is...it was not near as big as I thought but it was nice to see so many things of Davy Crockett's since he's a native Tennessean

Thanks Lonestar State for a wonderful visit...

Big Frog...

Big Frog is so special to me because when I'm driving to my parents home (which I still consider my "home") this is always there...just as you cross the Ocoee River and make the slight right curve and top a small hill...THERE IT IS...letting me know that I'm almost there...such a soft place in my heart for Polk County and Big Frog

*Special thanks to Mrs. Marie Cody for letting me take these shots from their property...they turned out great.
